There has been some confusion and concern regarding the safety of the Pfizer- BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for patients with a history of allergic reactions. Genentech recently announced FDA approval of Xolair (omalizumab) for adults with nasal polyps. It is welcome news to have Xolair as a therapeutic option for our patients with nasal polyps. Atlanta Allergy & Asthma has extensive experience using Xolair to treat patients with asthma and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
