Earlier this year, we began a partnership with Emory's Office of Sustainability Initiatives, setting out to install 5.5 MW of #solar, or over 15,000 panels, across 16 campus buildings. Since our first system at 1599 Clifton Road was connected on August 7, we have generated 42.37 MWh of solar energy, equivalent to planting 500 trees. It’s the beginning of a partnership that we hope will help achieve Emory University’s lofty goal of self-generating 10% of campus energy to repla...ce fossil fuels by 2025. We are so lucky to have so many wonderful partners and we want to share all their great work! This month's partner highlight is CompostNow Our office started composting with CompostNow this past summer. There were mixed feelings in the office about composting and adding an additional trash bin to our already complex sorting system, but after a few weeks employees were asking questions and becoming waste warriors! ... Aside from their efficient and stellar customer service, Compost Now uses the organic waste collected at our office and donates it to local farms and community gardens in Atlanta once it becomes soil. We love reducing our waste footprint while also giving back to our local community. Our office is proud to partner with Novelis Recycling for their Recycle for Good Program. For every 3 million cans that are collected a Habitat for Humanity house is built in Atlanta!

Today we joined Cherry Street Energy, Atlanta BeltLine and City of Atlanta Government to cut the ribbon on the new senior and affordable living location, Adair ...Court Housing Development! 4 days until Greenbuild International Conference and Expo! And time for solar trivia.... Did you know that enough solar energy reaches the Earth's surface in 1.5 hours to power the entire planet's electricity consumption for a year?!

We will be celebrating the kickoff for Greenbuild International Conference and Expo by counting down with Solar Trivia!! 5 days until Greenbuild! Solar farms can be used as pollinator habitats, boosting honeybee populations and increasing biodiversity!

Construction is almost completed at CT Martin in Adamsville! Very Exciting.

We are excited to work with the City of Atlanta on this project and provide solar power to 24 buildings in the metro area. We see this as a terrific start on a long journey to create a cleaner environment for the future generations of Georgia.
