As we seek to keep the safety of our children, youth and adult leaders at the forefront during this COVID-19 pandemic, conference staff has made the difficult d...ecision to cancel all South Georgia Conference retreats for children and youth for fall 2020. With the current restrictions required for large group gatherings and the now very-known risk involved in overnight camp and retreat settings, KidzQuest, the annual children’s retreat for students in 3rd-6th grades, and Encounter, the youth retreat for 6th-12th grade students held at Epworth By The Sea are cancelled and set to return in 2021. We are grateful for the many churches in our conference who have made these weekends a priority for faith formation and we look forward to being able to gather together again at Epworth By The Sea to grow closer to God and to one another safely. Shepherd of the Woods (Jax, FL) participated in Epworth's "Mission Volunteer" program this summer. They served with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and Magnolia Manor. Because they were unable to visit Magnolia Manor due to Covid-19, the group made 248 cards to brighten the spirits of staff and residents. Thank you for serving!
