We wanted to give a big thank you to our medical team (Doc T and volunteers- Sandra, Lora, Judy and Curtis) for stepping up and putting in countless hours to ge...t the 181 rescued dogs the attention they needed. Even though our staff is exhausted and still have lots to do, everyone is so happy to have been able to give these precious angels a fighting chance for a better life. Here are some milestones we wanted to share: medical emergencies addressed vaccinated everyone dewormed everyone on a heartworm preventative all males neutered females getting spayed **Images of dogs in kennels are those being treated for medical issues or evaluations. As you can see in the first image, many had injuries prior to coming to the sanctuary. Once healed/given the 'green light' from our medical team, they were able to enjoy the outdoors with others. The last image is from the day of the rescue in July. Rescued from an animal hoarding situation, Noah’s Ark recently welcomed over 181 Chihuahuas to our family. This is an unprecedented rescue in the sheer number o...f animals. It will be expensive to provide food, supplies and medical treatment for this many dogs. Every dog will be spayed/neutered, dewormed, treated for fleas and vaccinated.
