Like any companion animal, parrots should be seen by a qualified avian experienced vet annually, but far too many never see a vet in their life. All birds surrendered to PRH are required to have disease testing to ensure that they do not put our flock at risk. Meet Rowan and Ash! These cuties are brothers, who were surrendered because the young children in their family were a bit much for these two to handle. They were not very comfortable with people when they arrived at PRH, so in order to prevent losing any of their socialization, they were fostered by one of our volunteers. Now their foster family has applied to be their adoptive family, so this #FosterFail is a win all around!
