Rising Oak Missions 29.06.2021

Most days of ministry are crazy. When you're dealing with 5-20 children outdoors, it's hard to remember to get pictures and share stories. But know that I continue to minister to the residents at the apartments. We have Bible club almost every week at the apartments and are once again transporting children to church. I have also began one on one discipleship with some of the students. I'm rejoicing because recently two students have prayed for salvation and will be baptized soon. God is faithful!!

I didn't get many pictures at our happy birthday Jesus party at Parkview today. These are of our candy cane hunt. Despite the cold weather a dozen kids came out to celebrate the birthday of our Savior with crafts, Bible story, cupcakes, and games. It's always a joy to share the Christmas story!

We had our "Happy Birthday Jesus" party at Kingsley Village today. We read the Christmas story, ate cupcakes, painted an ornament, memorized Isaiah 9:6a and hunted for candy canes. What a joy to share the true meaning of Christmas with these children.

We talked about the 10 lepers that Jesus healed. Do we have grateful hearts like the thankful leper or are we most often like the nine unthankful lepers?

This week at the apartments we are discussing "thankfulness". We are also memorizing I Chronicles 16:34, "Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His steadfast love endures forever." Almost all the students have learned it so I gave away a lot of candy this week.
