Hall County Firefighters & Paramedics have developed a way to protect themselves against the COVID 19 virus. While the Hall County Fire Services members take e...very precaution recommended by the CDC and WHO during this pandemic, they have now gone a step beyond. The Paramedics have developed a COVID Cover to protect themselves from the airborne virus. The cover is made of plastic and creates a canopy over a patent with known or suspected COVID 19. This will help contain and reduce the amount of airborne particulates in the back of the ambulance during transport which will help protect the paramedics from the virus. The canopy can be broken down into small pieces and can be easily assembled in a matter of minutes when needed. It’s our hope we all remain safe and practice social distancing as recommended, but our firefighters and paramedics stand ready to serve our citizens in their time of need!

In response to the current nationwide issues surrounding COVID-19 and this current pandemic; with much thought we have decided to be proactive, and postpone all scheduled classes in ALL locations until later dates in May. If these next few months develop a need to lengthen the extension we will keep you all informed. All department heads have been contacted directly in order to notify all attendees in a timely manner. Please understand that postponing the current scheduled ...classes is the absolute best decision we can make at this time; this is not something we take lightly. We would not be doing you, your communities or this nation any justice if we continued the next few weeks to gather in groups for training. As stated as of now the plan is to resume in the later part of May. We will be sure to keep each and every one informed should something change. Please remember no matter your age, your title or your location you CAN make a difference; WASH YOUR HANDS, PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING and PRAY FOR EACH OTHER. Remember that social distancing isn’t about you; it is about those around you, be considerate and put the public’s health on the same pedestal that you put your own. We are truly thankful for each and every one of you; we look forward to seeing you all this summer healthy and happy. We will accommodate if multiple classes are needed in order to make up for those of you that are cycling through your re-certifications. And please remember to ensure your training company is insured, has their business paperwork, valid instructor credentials, but mostly ensure they have the EXPERIENCE of providing emergency care before teaching it.
