1. How has JESUS shown up in your life during this storm? 2. What has JESUS awakened in you that you have not paid attention to before? 3. What Bible verse have you found most helpful during this trial?... 4. In what ways has Jesus shown you that he is with you? Note: Please send responses to Rev. Ellis: [email protected] Thank you.

In Answer to Governor Kemp's Re-Opening of Businesses Dear Westminster, We will have worship by conference call on Sunday.... We will not switch to live services until the CDC, Emory University Hospital, and the Augusta University Health community issue guidelines for safe re-entry. Please Note: 1. We have not reached our peak in cases, yet, in the CSRA. 2. The medical community has tested less than 1% of this area's population for the virus. 3. Our infection rate and death rate are still rising. 4. It is still not known who is contagious and who is not. Based upon these FACTS, I have told the Session that this is why I am not holding live worship services yet. So far, I have heard from a majority of Session members agreeing with this decision. !IMPORTANT! Please be aware. You should use common sense and good judgement instead of following the guidelines set by Governor Brian Kemp. His opening these businesses is all about money; the more businesses that open the less the state will have to pay in unemployment and paycheck protection. I understand that anybody who works or who owns a business would want to open back up. Personally I know of at least one choice store that I can't wait to go back to! But "[...] life is more than food, and the body more than clothes." That is what Jesus said in Luke 12:23. What that means is that money to buy food and clothes is not worth anything if you are dead, or laying up in some ICU ward fighting for your life. Therefore, put your trust in God. He gave doctors their smarts and their skills. Pray to God and Listen to the medical community before you rush out to the movies, the nail salons, the beauty/barber shops, and the restaurants. God and his medical servants are wiser than our politicians. Listen, then, to them. I'd rather look like a living wolf-man jack than a coifed dressed-down corpse! Take care. Rev. Ellis.

Dear Westminster and friends, I don't know about you but this isolation has really opened my eyes to many things. I feel that God is trying to tell me: us something. I am paying attention to my personal habits, good and bad.... There are hobbies and projects I want to take up. Even though I want to do some things, I find that my energy gives out. I find I am talking to the Lord out loud now, much more than before.. I wonder what your experiences have been. Here are a few questions to help you to sort things out. I hope you will write down your answers and post them on our webpage or Facebook page. Your answers might help others get through this time. In Christ, Rev. Ellis
