When Philip and I first got married, we moved into an in-law suite in one of our pastor’s basement. It was a beautiful season of learning, loving, and fun! They have 4 awesome kiddoes and Bryanna is the youngest and the only girl. She was always kind, lovely, and beautiful, so this session was so special for me to do. I am always put in my place age-wise when I see someone who in my mind should still be 13 and learning to do makeup, coming up to me with beautifully done makeup, perfectly done hair, and a sweet baby bump. <3 Lol. I met Daniel for the first time last night, and what a charmer! I am so excited for them to embark on a new season together. When you guys feel a storm coming in life, I hope you choose to dance in it like you did at your session, hold each other close, and have fun!

A year ago, I watched this sweet baby girl make her way earthside. It was such an experience and one that will leave a mark in my heart forever and not just because her momma is one of my dearest friends but because this birth showed me a side of strength that is refined in times of adversity and hardship. Her labor and delivery was quite difficult and that's what made her strength so amazing to watch. I have been to many births but none have been as anguishingly difficult as this one was. SO glad that was a year ago and we can celebrate with cake instead of with labor-aid. Love you, Burgess ladies! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMBER!

First little session since all of this mess started and YALL my heart could burst. Every photo was perfection and not because of my doing or my handy assistant (Abigail Burgess) but because they were sweet angel babies with the cutest faces, had the best newborn skin, and slept the entire time. This was the best way to come back to work... if you even want to call it that! <3

Hey, friends! For my oldest sons birthday we will be hanging out at The Georgia Glamping Company! We thought since we can't have a big karate party with all his friends, we would just take this quarantined birthday outdoors! We got to visit the other day and it is SO beautiful and so intentionally thought out. I couldn't just keep this to ourselves so we will share one night with you guys and do some mini sessions! Instead of them being back-to-back, I am booking every other slot and disinfecting in between every session PLUS these are outdoors and away from the crowds. Message me if you'd like to book!

Last year, my bestie celebrated her 30th birthday in Utah! It was a trip of a lifetime! I cried so many times just at the sites. It's crazy what nature can do for the soul. I am wanting to plan another trip out west but with all my boys in tow! Any cool places you have planned this year?

I know I've been radio silent over here but after holiday shenanigans, I had a few health issues arise, and I just had to listen to my body and slow down a little. I have so many sessions to post about and will be doing that in the coming weeks! <3 Can't wait for 2020 and all the sessions we have planned!
