Well 2020 and Hurricane Delta are doing business as usual. We regret to have to cancel this weekend's productions of "An Evening With Shakespeare and Friends" due to rain. Thanks to all who came out last weekend (over 100 of you!), and to our wonderful cast and crew who worked so hard to get live theater going. We're already in rehearsals for our holiday show "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play," we hope to see you live, or at least have you join us via video subscription! In the meantime, we'll leave the ghost light on...

Hello theater fans: Thanks to the weather, unfortunately Saturday's Shakespeare show in Wills Park has been cancelled, and tonight is in danger of the same. Varying weather reports have us in limbo; look for an announcement later today about tonight's show... the afternoon weather and updated forecasts will determine the fate of the production. In any case, a huge shout-out to Creator/Director Jim Gray and our outstanding cast - lots of love your way!

Our first show since COVID hit, AND IT'S FREE! "An Evening With Shakespeare & Friends" is a production that will entertain the audience with some of Shakespeare’s most famous monologues and scenes as well as delivering other notable speeches and surprises not from Shakespeare. In an era when COVID-19 has limited theatre’s ability to rehearse in large groups, we are reminded of Shakespeare’s talent to tell a story with a simple powerful monologue or dialogue, as well as draw ...a comparison with other famous orators. The production will be held outdoors and audiences are asked to socially distance and wear masks. In response to the pandemic, ACT1 Theater has re-worked its season for the rest of 2020 to focus on specialty productions that lend themselves to good social distancing, small casts, and the possibility of livestreaming or recorded subscription sales.

So, here's ACT1 doing our best to bring live theater back to the public! Callbacks had us meeting outside, socially distancing with masks. We look forward to bringing audiences safely "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" this holiday season. If we can't be in-person, we'll entertain you by video subscription!
