Our popular Intro To Acting 1: On Camera is back! TV/Film production continues to EXPLODE in Atlanta. This class is for anyone who has ever dreamt of being on the big or little screen and wants a low-pressure way to dip their toes in the fun and creative world of on-camera acting. Explore the basics of the business, acting, auditioning, what it’s like on a real set, and much more in this class geared for fun and the absolute beginner. Class meets once a week via Zoom for ...six weeks. It would be best if you had a reliable internet connection, a web camera, and a basic knowledge of Zoom. Instructor Onye Eme-Akwari has had guest-star and recurring roles on shows like Queen of the South (USA), The Inspectors (CBS), and Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings (Netflix). He has also appeared in Star, The Quad, Greenleaf, Manhunt, Cloak & Dagger, Sleepy Hollow, and NCIS: New Orleans. Onye recently played a supporting role in the Spike Lee-produced film Son of the South. Kate's students have co-starred, guest-starred, and recurred on top shows such as The Walking Dead, Ozark, The Resident, Dynasty, The Oval, Stranger Things, and more. Her students also regularly work in the Atlanta theatre scene - including the highly respected Alliance Theatre - home of many pre-Broadway productions. This Meisner-based scene study offers actors with a Meisner technique background to practice and continue to refine their acting - whether for the stage or T...V/Film. This class will zero in on and aggressively work all things Meisner: preparation, imagination, personalization, bold choices, and more. Significant training in the technique required. Bob Jones and his wife Jennifer meet their new next-door neighbors, John and Pony Jones. They share more in common than their last name. They discuss their lives, giving an "inside look at the people who live next door, the truths we think we know and the secrets we never imagined we all might share.
