Hi all. I'm doing an August jobs post, but it's going to incorporate a lot. At the top, you've got everything NYSCRA's currently promoting. There's the August 16 and August 24 web sessions, and the October 3 Project Steno event. I reposted what Eric Allen had posted on the Verbatim Reporter 1 position. I've got reminders about how to to get NYC Grand Jury and NYS Court Reporter work. I've got the current federal judicial jobs up, including Southern District of New York, and t...hen I end off with a little note on some stuff NCRA has posted and just reminding everyone that despite what you may see or hear out there, our tech, and our work, is still very relevant, it's sought after, and really something to be proud of. Can't guarantee people work, but we can share where to look, so I encourage you to spread these links around even if you don't want to share my blog. There are countless new reporters and reporters in training, and they may not have these links, and I see a future where this is just standard information that everybody's got. To outline the importance for just one second, I had the privilege of speaking to a reporter whose dream job is court, but they had no idea where to look or how to go about securing a court job. When you see me post these, it's to stop that from happening. And I'll be honest, I need help. So again, never feel shy about either bringing information to the table or cutting and pasting the links somewhere.
