He has been in private practice in Metro Atlanta area since 1991. Dr. Shaheed is a practicing podiatrist and has been on staff at Emory Hillandale Hospital since its inception. He is also on the faculty of the Podiatry Institute and the Residency training committee of Emory University Decatur Hospi...tal. His professional interests are sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He is on the Board of Directors for the 100 Black Men of DeKalb. He is also part of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. During Dr. Shaheed’s tenure with Ankle & Foot Centers of Georgia and Emory Hillandale Hospital, he has put protocols in to place which have improved productivity in the department and quality of care. Dr. Shaheed has frequently been recognized for outstanding achievement and is one of the few Podiatrists in the nation that serves as chief of staff in a major Hospital setting.
