NOVEMBER 1, 2015 1:00PM-5:00PM Pape Moussa Sonko lead male dancer for Youssou N'dour and New York's very own Mariama Basse will be holding back to back dance workshops on November 1, 2015 to get you all warmed up for Youssou Ndour's Concert later in the evening at Terminal 5!!!... Both Classes will be held at Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts center in Brooklyn 857 Lexington Ave, Fl 2nd, Brooklyn, New York 11221 (718) 443-9800 [email protected] **** Pape Moussa Sonko - Sabar/Kutiro 1:00pm - 3:00pm**** ****Mariam Basse - Djembe/Sabar 3:00pm-5:00pm**** Each workshop $20 or Both Classes $35 payable at the door. About the Artists: *Pape Moussa Sonko a member the National Ballet of Senegal and has danced on stage with all the biggest Senegalese pop stars and in their music videos including the world famous Youssou N’Dour! He also choreographer for the dance company Waato Siita in Dakar and a respected dance teacher, with students from all over the world. Pape Moussa is particulary known for his sabar solos and choreographies. *Coming from family of dancers and musicians: His father Bouly Sonko used to be the main choreographer of the National Ballet and now he leads the company Waato Siita where Pape Moussa is the main choreographer.
