Important message and reminder from Dr. Thomas E. Craft, District Health Director/South Central Health District/District 5-1: "We have a new record daily number... of cases reported in several counties, as well as a record daily number of total cases reported across the district. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage onward in our 10-county district and will continue to do so until everyone is doing a better job of following the CDC/DPH guidance and vaccination reaches more and more of the population. As we move forward with the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, please do your part to remind everyone that we still have to wash hands, follow social distancing guidelines, wear masks outside our homes, and follow the Governor’s Orders. Hopefully if we all work together, we can lower our number of COVID-19 cases in the coming days and weeks."
