Forsyth County has undertaken a large study on the issue of public transportation. Your feedback is very important, and there are several ways to share your thoughts, including a survey and a virtual public meeting. Although you may currently drive, have you considered your future transportation needs? There may come a time when you don't want to drive or when you will need alternate means of transportation. How will you get to and from your appointments and outings? Would yo...u benefit from a more comprehensive public transportation system? For more information about the study and to take the survey online, go to the Link Forsyth website https://www.forsythco.com/linkforsyth. English and Spanish options are available. You can also attend a Virtual Public Open House Transportation Meeting they are Wednesday, August 12, 11 a.m. noon, or Wednesday, August 12, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Go here https://www.forsythco.com/LinkForsythPIOH more information related to the virtual meetings, including the meeting link and phone number.

Forsyth County is conducting a survey to better understand the current housing, and future housing needs, of people with a developmental disability. If you are an adult with a developmental disability or a family member/guardian of a person with a developmental disability, this survey is for you! It is quick and easy! You can complete the survey in 14 minutes, and your answers will remain anonymous. Click here to participate in the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/...9GHFN5M If you have any questions about the survey, you can email [email protected]. Please forward this to others who may want to take the survey.
Our most recent small grant was for much-needed roof repairs for a County senior citizen. We continue to work with Senior Services and the Place to find seniors in need of assistance with home repairs/maintenance or other improvements that will help their quality of life. However, you are welcome to submit a grant request to AgeWell directly. See our Blog http://www.agewellforsyth.com/blog for details on how to apply for a grant.
Age Well has arranged to purchase fresh fruit every week as an addition to the Meals on Wheels delivery packages, giving homebound seniors a healthy, tasty addition to the pre-packaged foods. It's one way we can help out when we can't be there in person!
Age Well continues to work with and Support the County's Senior Services during the ongoing situation that has affected everyone, but particularly our senior citizens and their caregivers. We have purchased masks and also have had cloth ones made for the Senior Center to hand out or mail to people needing them.
