While attending the GAA - Georgia Airports Association's 2020 Annual Conference, AGS was awarded the Commercial Project of the Year Award for the second time in the last three years! This award is in recognition of the Apron Phase II Rehabilitation project. While working within strict time constraints, the team was able to supplement additional work into the original contract to construct a new connector taxiway. The team successfully completed this project, under time and under budget.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AGS has installed the Third Annual Field of Pink at the Airport entrance. These flags are in honor of those who have battled breast cancer. This annual fundraiser is in support of University Health Care Foundation's Miracle Mile Drive. The Augusta Richmond County Traffic Engineering Department announced the initiation of the Doug Barnard Parkway Entrance Improvement Project. This project will commence on today, September 28th and is scheduled for completion on or around December 27th. Project hours are typically 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Augusta Regional Airport recommends all Airport patrons who may travel through this area to please schedule travel time accordingly.
