The Association of Historians at Georgia State University is issuing a call for papers for our 2020 Spring symposium, which will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020. This year’s theme is Cultural Production in the City with three keynote speakers from within and outside the academy who are dedicated to understanding and preserving cultural forms from urban locales. We welcome submissions from any discipline and strongly encourage creative connections to this year's theme, w...ith a special emphasis on topics such as music, art, public history, and preservation. Please circulate this call to any potentially interested graduate students. Please submit an abstract (no more than 400 words) along with a brief bio and CV to [email protected]. We welcome all papers that explore culture in its myriad forms in urban environments as well as posters and digital exhibitions. The deadline to submit an abstract is February 10, 2020.
