I am curious how many people have fences at eye-height (5' ish?) per the recommendation? And do you have your fence 6" to 8" off the ground? The bulletin is right - our horses mostly keep our fence line grazed and it's so much easier to mow when it does need to be trimmed. This is a great resource that we reference all the time as we help people make decisions about making their farm horse-safe. And I thought I'd share it with y'all. How can your fence be improved? ... Y'all if you're looking for a 6 horse check this out. Plus, I was looking at it in the shop yard and I think the stalls convert. So you can have 6 smaller stalls (+ a box in the middle) or 4 larger stalls (+box). It's really something you need to see in person. I was completely charmed and in love. Low mileage. Proud/appreciation post #2 Y'all. This mare. How many warmbloods do you know that can be RIDDEN TO THE SHOW (5.9 miles) and then go win their class? Not only that but when we got home, I turned her out in the little covered arena for some leg stretching. And when I arrived for evening chores (see comments for more video and pics), she met me at the gate wanting to go out for more. ... This video is her at 2'3" but she has scope for so much more. I regret not pushing her to a higher class, but was in a hurry to get home cause I needed some bute and a nap hindsight. There is also video of our arrival at the Silver Lining Farm. I'm so proud of the horse she has blossomed into. She was always phenomenal because of her breeding and build but now her brain and confidence is really starting to shine. I feel extremely privileged to ride her. Calypso is for sale (low fives). Her price will continue to increase with training and miles. 2013 Registered Oldenburg, low miles, has lead changes, game for anything you throw at her, smart, willing, has everything that is awesome about a good chestnut mare.
