Warm wishes to our friends and strangers on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! Today, I have a treat for you- a recipe for what I call Whole Body Soup! What’s in a name? Well, I call it that because it is consisted of healthy ingredients that resemble the body part they help! In these times (and all others!), we need to focus on staying as healthy as we can. No time like the present, so let’s get cranking! Combine is a big old comfort pot and simmer for 45 minutes:... 2 tomatoes- ever cut a tomato open and look at it’s chambers? It is so similar to the human heart. Tomatoes are the only vegetable (okay, fruit) that are more nutritional when heated. It activates the lycopene, awesome for the ticker and helps fight off the C-word. 2 celery ribs, sliced and diced- celery is outstanding for bone health, particularly in the lower extremities. Ever hold a bunch of celery upside down? It looks like a foot! 2 carrots- sliced and diced also. Close your eyes and imagine in carrot sliced into a disk- it’s an eyeball! Follow your inner Bugs Bunny and load up on Vitamin A! 1 cup of broccoli- great for lung health. A broccoli floret, when turned on its side, is the spitting image of lung tissue and alveoli. Plus, you will be very, ahem, regular. 2 cloves of garlic- Y’all, garlic is blood! A sliced clove of garlic looks exactly like blood vessels. Chop, slice- who cares! Enjoy this wild and aromatic detoxifier. 1/2 cup of cooked bean of your choosing- this one is a 2-fold helper. It supports both the kidneys AND the adrenal glands. Ever wonder why they call them kidney beans? The resemblance is uncanny. They filter so many of our icky toxins in our body. And now for the adrenals- they balance out EVERY stressor that comes at us. Fun story- Adrenal broken down in Latin is ad-renal. Literally, on top of kidney. Isn’t the body AMAZING?! Functioning properly with proper gut health, they knock out immune issues- Viruses, Bacteria, Fungus/Yeast and Parasites. 8 cups of the broth of your choice will make this a lovely dinner and leftover lunch. Increase vitamin C intake- it’s citrus season, after all!... If Mother Nature allows, sit outside for 15 minutes every day to soak up as much vitamin D as possible. Fatty fish and dark leafy greens are excellent dinner choices. Have you exercised for 30 minutes today? Meditation, even if only for 5 minutes, boosts the immune system. Medicinal herbs, particularly garlic, elderberry, astragalus, olive leaf and oregano, can be incorporated easily into food and supplement schedules. We carry all of these products in our office for your convenience. Sleep, people! Get your rest and your body will heal. Today, your level of cuteness overload is about to overflow! Meet Baby A, a 7-week-old twin boy with dreadful and debilitating reflux. He was categorized as failure to thrive. After many hospitalizations in his brief life, his grandparents (lifelong patients) suggested that the parents come up from Florida to see Dr. Friedman. The gentle process of a QSM3 correction made a huge difference, as you can see in the before, during, and after photos. He’s squirmy, then sleepy, then so HAPPY! We cannot wait to see this little nugget grow and catch up with his twin sister! Chiropractic care at ANY age only has one side effects- and that is HEALTH.

Meet Ms. Jo, who was referred to us by a dear friend. 2 weeks ago, she arrived in our office, accessorized with only a caretaker and wheelchair. Today, after only 2 adjustments and 2 functional therapy sessions, this is the Ms. Jo (age 81!)who DROVE HERSELF to her appointment and is standing tall and strong! The human body is so amazing!
