ISO - American Dream Farm is in the market for another APHA or AQHA horse to add to our barn. We are looking for a good sized well built mare or gelding, must be at least 15-2 hh to 16-2 hh to carry adult and larger students, must have a good demeanor, preferably halter, pleasure, reining, or cow horse bred. Must be registered. Would prefer black and white, or bay and white, but would consider other colors. Prefer tobiano pattern, but would consider overos. Would prefer a ho...rse that has been started under saddle, so we can introduce the horse to the Lesson Program sooner than later, but that is not a deal breaker. Would definitely consider a younger horse (2 and up) Tess can train and finish. The horse would be used in the Lesson Program and show locally, but must be halter quality and have excellent movement. LEASE OPTION: While we are shopping or training a new young horse we would consider a lease on the right horse. (With contract - no money exchanged) The leased horse would have it's own stall, eat high quality hay and feed, be on a 6 week farrier schedule, get annual vaccinations and teeth floated, and regular de worming. Colic, choke, or big vet bills would be the owner's responsibility. Must be able to pasture with our horses and be easy to trailer. Leased horse MUST be a walk/trot/lope horse and not require any maintenance other than regular care, do 4 - 6 lessons per week and be able to ride western and english. Ranch style gaits are fine for western, doesn't have to be super slow. Must be able to neck rein. Leased horse will get more training while here.
