Attention Sumter County Residents, It has been brought to the Sheriff's Office attention of an unknown individual impersonating a Sheriff's Office employee (Maj...or Kyle Selph) and placing calls and leaving messages to residents. In at least one of the incidents, the phone number this unknown subject used was 229-287-6452. This number, when called, has a voice recording stating it is the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. Most of you know the Sheriff's Office number is 229-924-4094. Please be mindful of this situation until we have it resolved. Also, please share this post with your FaceBook friends as well as inform others who may not use FaceBook.
