A few more end of the year celebrations! These two beautiful women are strong in all the ways. They’re competitors in their jobs as Real Estate Agents, but put it all aside in their Jesus-centered friendship! They’ve walked hundreds of miles in 2020! ... They’re stronger, leaner, and more fit than ever! Check out their transformation photos! They’d be the first to tell you that NUTRITION matters most. Today, we worked on goal setting and encouraged our clients to go ahead and begin working and planning on how they’re going to reach their January goals. We had several clients who said I’m going to start Monday. We challenged them to begin now...or, at least on January 1. The first day of the year is a great day to begin! So is the first day of the month...or the last day...or the 30th day...or whichever day you realize you need to make changes! ... Seriously, why wait? Why waste the five days between now and Monday? When you know you need to make changes - why not make them now? We’d be honored to have you start the year off with us! Our Nutrition Course on Sunday has a few remaining spots! It’s a balanced way of eating and regular folks like you are getting amazing results! We don’t sell products and you’ll never be expected to fast, cleanse, etc! We don’t restrict foods/calories/etc. We do offer daily feedback, tracking and accountability to help you get the results you’re looking for! You’ll have the tools to be healthy for life! These folks are so glad they stopped making excuses. They’re thankful to be healthier on the last day of the year than they were on the first day. Merry Christmas to our Anchor Fitness Family! We are so thankful for each of you! What a blessing it is to have you trusting the two of us to guide you to better health! On this Christmas morning, we pray that you take time today to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas - The Savior of the World, born in a lowly manger in what seemed like less that perfect circumstances. The One who came to give us life to the full.... This is one of my favorite Christmas songs (not just at Christmas) as it’s the perfect reminder that although Mary didn’t know what was ahead, she trusted anyway! https://youtu.be/ifCWN5pJGIE Mary acted in obedience and didn’t let her fears win! I’m thankful that although she didn’t have the answers, she pushed through, and as a result, we have an eternal hope! Isn’t that the way life goes sometimes? Something what initially seems like it’s not perfect, turns out to be our biggest blessings? The setbacks and roadblocks in our path that often turn in to our greatest successes? Use today as a reminder to reflect on those thoughts, as well as consider your hopes and goals for the remainder of the year! 2020 has been a tough year for so many, but when we take the time to reflect back on it, there has been an abundance of blessings and we each have so much to be thankful for! On the TWELFTH day of Fitness, Anchor trainers gave to me.... TWELVE Burpees of your Choice ELEVEN Alternate Lunges TEN Minutes of Cardio NINE Crab Toe-Touches... EIGHT Sets of (10) Sit-Ups SEVEN Up-Down Planks SIX sets of (10) jumping jacks FIVE grams of added sugar FOUR sets of (10) jump squats THREE liters of water TWO sets of (10) push-ups (modify as needed) and a Forearm Plank for as long as I can hold. Reminder in regards to the added sugar : added sugar is not in Whole Foods, rather it is in processed foods. Fruits and vegetables and whole grains often have sugar that’s NOT what we are taking about. We are referring to ADDED Sugar - in foods like breads, desserts, drinks, yogurts, even peanut butter, etc. Unsure how to tell?? If it’s a Vegetable or Fruit from the produce department and doesn’t have a label, you’re safe. If it’s a processed item with a label, keep up with it! So, to clarify.... Anchor Down for 80 Days! Because we’ve got folks participating from all around the US, let’s all take some time this weekend to introduce ourselves and share one or two areas that you’re hoping to make improvements! Example - I’m Ronna. I’m the co-owner of Anchor Fitness in Carrollton, Georgia. My business partner and I are always looking for specific ways to improve nutrition, be more intentional in our workouts, and find some balance in our crazy busy schedules! ... One of my personal goals for the 80 Day Anchor Down Challenge is in the NUTRITION section I am committing to consume less than 10g of added sugar each day. I’ll do this by working to eliminate processed foods and yummy desserts which tend to sneak in a little more frequently during this time of year. We’d love to hear from you in the comments below! Who is participating? Where are you from? What’s one of your mail goals?

Anchor Down for 80 Days We’d like to invite you to join us and make a renewed commitment to yourself for the final 80 days of 2020. Stop compromising. Stop making excuses. Stop making idle promises. Stop settling for mediocrity. Beginning on Monday, October 12, we want to ask you to COMMIT to YOU! Commit to personal improvements in the following areas for the final 80 days of the year: NUTRITION- since everyone has specific areas that need improving, we suggest you choose youre own areas of weakness and choose a strategy for how you’ll improve in that area (examples could include: less added sugars, more protein, no alcohol, controlled portions/calories/etc., less processed foods, or any other area of weakness). Be specific and have a plan for improvement. If you need assistance in how you can make small changes that will last a lifetime, we’d be glad to assist! FITNESS - Move intentionally for at least 30 minutes each day. Walk, jog, workout, bike, whatever. Just move with intent. MENTAL WELLNESS - read, meditate, pray, reflect, practice tactics for stress relief, journal, worship, etc. Focus on your own mental health and wellness or for at least 10 minutes each day. REST - commit to going to bed earlier, turning off technology, having some quiet time or a nap during the day, sleeping-in a little later, etc. Again, you choose the adjustments you need to make in order to get more rest. ANCHOR ACTS Express gratitude, provide encouragement, or share an act of kindness EVERY day for the last 80 days of the year. By joining our free ANCHOR DOWN challenge, you’re renewing your commitment to yourself. We will provide encouragement and inspiration and reminders along the way! Ronna’s college roommate’s daughter is up for USATF athlete of the week She set the world record this week in the Decathlon Long Jump and also scored second highest overall USA points (she is current holder of first highest, too) in Decathlon.
