A New Hope: Animal Sanctuary & Education Center

It is with a heavy heart that we announce to you all, our incredible foundation of supporters, the closing of A New Hope Animal Sanctuary and Education Center. While searching for a qualified candidate to take over the sanctuary, we ran into some permitting issues and were forced to take action in finding each animal a new home. We have fortunately had a lot of help from Animal Ed.ventures at Noah's Landing (Animal Edventures Sanctuary, Inc. or www.noahslanding2x2.com) and th...ey agreed to take in most of our animal residents to their facility in North Carolina where they will get the high-quality care and enrichment they need. The other animals including Ghost, Isis, Juniper, Pepper, Nissa, Azreal, and Nahiri, will be homed in private facilities here in Georgia, where they will have the best chance to live out and enjoy their lives. We assure you all that the lives of our animal residents have been, and continue to be our top priority. We can confidently say all donations (including the memorial Crowdrise) are going towards animal care and will follow each animal to their permanent homes. Our friends over at Animal Edventures suffered a terrible loss in an overnight fire on their property: "We lost 2 beautiful, sweet, comical macaws. One more was luckily saved by the sanctuary owner and her daughter, but the building was too far gone to save the other 2 occupants. The fire department was immediately called and thankfully were able to extinguish the flames before any other animals or structure was damaged."
