Hi there! I’m the Volunteer Coordinator at the Athens Area Humane Society. We are in process of moving to our new amazing facility at 1030 Mitchell Bridge Road ...and will open to the public very soon! YAY!! When we open, we will need Shelter Support Volunteers. You would assist in the day to day operations that keep the shelter running smoothly. Even if you can spare only a few hours of your time, that would be AMAZING. Cleaning and sanitizing are critical at the shelter to prevent disease transmission, so you would be playing SUCH AN IMPORTANT ROLE!! Tasks vary with each department and training is provided onsite when you arrive to your first shift. NOTE: This sign up does not directly interact with pets, if you would like to work with pets, then let me know! You can email me at [email protected] or sign up here!

I am proud to say that Laura has been a wonderful mentor to me for the last couple of years. I don't know how she does it. She not only runs an amazing practice but also mentors many women through out our firm giving countless hours to building up others. She is definitely a Woman to Watch. Congrats Laura! What a lovely surprise to receive my RJWomen swag box last week. Getting ready to enjoy our Women's Symposium. I am sad that it is virtual because I will miss spending time with other women advisors , but RJ found a way to make it fun. Well done!

This is the reason I talk to clients and prospects about having an emergency fund in place. The amount can vary based on your unique situation, but the general recommendation is still 3-6 months of expenses. This mistake can cost you thousands.
