Persian rugs are true works of art. A team of people may spend years making a single rug. This is not a very high quality one, but it is a very pretty and unique Persian rug, and comfortable to walk on as well :). It takes patience to make a violin, but even more I imagine to make a rug. Thank you to the people who made this rug! #augustaga #augusta #violinshop #violins #persianrug

An Early 1800s possibly Italian cello we are currently restoring, soon to be for sale! It’s always really cool to see repair labels from bygone eras. #cello #cellos #cellorepair #violinshop #augusta #augustaga

Augusta’s first violin is finished! There are a few adjustments that still need to be made, but it works, and it doesn’t sound bad! It was a project a couple years in the making, and we’re now ready to turn Augusta into a violin-making town. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. #violin #violinmaker #violinmaking #augustaga #augusta

A view of the inside of our shop. So much time and effort has gone into finding local, used items to furnish and decorate our shop. It is very important to support local business in the online shopping age. All framing was done by @artonbroad

More progress...violinmaking reminds me of that golf quote, the more I practice, the luckier I get. Though luck is surely not involved with great works of art, the concept I think still applies in the never ending journey towards progress, and it especially applies to those still in the beginner stages of learning. #violinmaking #augustaga #augusta #violin

Reorganized the workshop yet again, and this time I’m finally in love with the layout! #violinshop #augustaga #violin #viola #cello

Always a pleasure to see the Augusta Symphony! I remember 6 years ago standing in front of this same mirror before the Miller Theater was renovated. Tonight Misha Dichter played Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto, which was followed by Brahms’ Symphony no. 3. Not to mention a Mozart intro...#augustasymphony #augustaga #augusta #loveaugusta #reallybigmirror

Just finished our first complete top and back, but because of several reasons, have decided to start over. And on goes the journey towards our first violin! #violinmaking #augusta #augustaga #violin
