Saddened to learn of the death of Gayle Sayers, former running back for the Chicago Bears. I had the pleasure of doing a short film on him some years ago. His coach George Halas also gave an interview in the film. Gayle gave me a copy of his book, I Am Third. The meaning was simply, the Lord is First, my family and friends are second and I am third.
