Congratulations Tyler Brown!! Tyler has been named our November 2019 APIVEO Player of the Month Sponsored by Zaxby's!! Tyler is a 14 year-old swimmer from Clayton County, GA and is the absolute epitome of a leader. Last August Tyler and her family received the heartbreaking news that Tyler had bone cancer in her elbow and the only way to save her life was to amputate her arm. Tyler stood up against this devastating news and refused to be defined by this insidious disease. In ...October of 2019, the doctors amputated Tyler’s right arm. In November, less than 30 days later, Tyler dove back into the pool and was swimming again!! This young lady’s courage and conviction is an inspiration to every person facing obstacles. Tyler is a loving, serving and courageous leader and we at APIVEO are blessed to celebrate her! As part of the award, Zaxby’s is providing Tyler with $1,000 which she has decided to donate to Wellroot Family Services to benefit children in foster care. Tyler recently began swimming with BlazeSports America, a non-profit adaptive sports organization. Zaxby’s has given Tyler an additional $1,000 which she is donating to Blaze Sports!!
