Dear Apple Tree students and parents, With the pandemic scare sweeping the nation and the world, we want to reassure our Appletree family, we are doing everything possible to make our home away from home safe. We are diligently sanitizing the facility with EPA approved products that combat the COVID-19 virus (I have attached the link of approved products) We are vigilant with all students washing thoroughly upon entering the facility. We have hand sanitizers in each cl...assroom and in common areas. With that being said, the CDC posted and stated, "for most of the American public, who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus at this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low." As a precautionary, to ease the timorous minds of parents, Mr. Yeo, who owns a sanitizing company, came out and sprayed Apple Tree to ensure the safety of the children. A special thank you to Elizabeth's dad for coming out and sanitizing our school. His company specializes in environmentally and kid safe spray. We are germ-free. We are monitoring National and State news reports and guidelines regarding the Coronavirus. Likewise, the health and well-being of our students are of the utmost importance to us! Therefore, we want to remind students, parents and teachers of the following: We encourage and remind ALL students to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently. We encourage and remind students to avoid touching their face, eyes, nose or mouth unless they have just washed or sanitized their hands, and to wash/sanitize hands after touching their face. We encourage and/or ask students to stay home if/when sick or not feeling well. We asked teachers to notify us if they deem a student(s) appear to be sick or not feeling well. Our staff will continue to monitor National and State directives by the CDC and/or the Georgia Department of Public Health. Again, student safety is our top priority. However, parents and guardians are ultimately responsible for their own safety and for the safety of their children! Parents and guardians should make decisions based on the most up-to-date information available, as well considering their individual health status and health concerns. https://www.epa.gov//docume/sars-cov-2-list_03-03-2020.pdf https://www.usatoday.com//prepare-for-coronavi/4966691002/ Sincerely, Johnny Ahn
