Tulipa bakeri Lilac Wonder, it’s definitely one of my favorite perennial tulips! This species tulip stands at a about six inches tall, but it makes up for its shorter stature with its pretty pink and yellow face. We like to plant them in a bed of short ground covers like regular mondo grass or draft ajuga reptans.

Our helper today! It’s nice she has a fairy garden to play with while we plant edibles!

This area is in deep deep deep shade - it gets very limited natural light, so we had to be very creative so we can bring color and movement into it. We will use cast iron plant, Mexican pebbles, blue glass, and a large fountain. Why blue? The logo of the company is blue.

Well deserved rain

It’s time to bring your hummingbird feeders out! Hummingbird migration begins early in the southern United States. Areas in the Deep South, including north Florida and south Georgia, can put out hummingbird feeders as soon as the middle to late February or early March and expect to be visited by the first arriving migrants.

Broccoli flowers can be eaten raw or cooked. Use them as an edible garnish or include them as a nutritious and attractive addition to any salad. Completely opened flowers will wilt when steamed, but partially opened buds retain their shape. My Children love to help pick them up and eat them too :).
