To the families of Ares Company: Today’s Turning Green Ceremony marks a turning point in the transition from civilian to soldier. After an arduous Forge week (weapons training, cold weather, 20+ miles of foot marching), trainees earn the right to don their green US Army patches. This patch, to be worn on their left arm, distinguishes a trainee in the advanced portion of One Station Unit Training (OSUT). While the journey is far from over, trainees can breath easy knowing the first chapter has come to pass. *Apologies for not live streaming as previously posted. This is the video as was meant to be live streamed.
