Congrats to sophomore cross country runner Marissa Kimple, this week’s Floyd Medical Center Athlete of the Week. Marissa has won 4 races this season and just set a new school record for the 5k at 19:26 seconds.

Congrats to AHS Sr. Emma Harrell on taking 1st place at the Coosa Valley Fair Art Show. Emma is a very talented young artist. She has used her artistic talents to give back to AHS by painting multiple murals around our campus. Thanks for bringing your A+Game Emma! #ATribeAndTrue

Congrats to senior volleyball player Carlee Poole, this week’s Floyd Medical Center Athlete of the Week. Carlee is the reigning 6A/AA volleyball region player of the year. She was also selected at the Rome News Tribune player of the year following last season. Carlee is currently leading our region in assists, she is also 2nd in the state of Georgia currently in A/AA for total assists. Carlee is a great athlete/competitor and we would not have had the success we have had the past 2 years without her.

Congrats to junior competition cheerleader Elizabeth Stockton, this week’s Floyd Medical Center Athlete of the Week. Elizabeth is a very talented young lady! She is a cheerleader from head to toe! Elizabeth is very dedicated to her sport & always supportive of her teammates.

Congrats to junior cross-country member, Shelby Green, this week’s Floyd Medical Center Athlete of the Week. Shelby is a defending state champion, who works hard each day to accomplish her goals. She is dedicated and determined and a role model for other athletes at AHS. We look forward to seeing her accomplishments this fall!

Congrats to sophomore football cheerleader Jessie Moore, this week’s Floyd Medical Center Athlete of the Week. Jessie is a great cheerleader with a big heart. She is a great teammate and someone for others to look up to. She is honest and compassionate and always does what is asked of her!
