Full time position. Provides fire suppression and medical rescue efforts, or medical care of the sick and injured. Work is performed under the general direction of the Chief, and designated scene commander. Major Duties: Directs and supervises Volunteers. Completes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual equipment maintenance tasks and reports and document it. Follows operational policies and procedures. Assures training and certification requirements are met. Assist wi...th equipment repairs and maintenance. Participates as an instructor in training programs. Provides support and motivation for the volunteers. Responds to emergency scenes. Completes fire report after every response. Assist Chief, City Manager, Mayor, and Council with assigned task. Performs fire inspections, prevention programs, or public relation functions. Cleans living quarters, bays, and grounds. Provides fire apparatus for special events as assigned by the Chief. Maintains effective contact with the public through speaking at schools, community and industrial groups, and other groups as assigned by the Chief. Cares for the sick and injured as primary or secondary care giver. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school education, and completion of Georgia Firefighters Course (FF1). Possession of Georgia Drivers License. 18 years of age or older.
