All right church family! It's that time of year again--Hallelujah Harvest is around the corner and we need YOU! HH is one of our biggest community outreach events. More specifically, we need you to decorate your trunk and come give out candy on Sunday, October 31st at AP from 6-8pm. Please see Whitney Rylee with any questions. Kids join us at Assembly of Praise Wednesday, December 30th @ 7 PM to celebrate the upcoming New Year as we create TIME CAPSULES and have lots of yummy food and fun games as we learn about who we are in Jesus Christ!!!

Today, Bishop L. Wayne Hicks will be laid to rest after receiving his eternal reward on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He served the Congregational Holiness Chur...ch as its 12th General Superintendent after being elected to the position on August 27, 2020. Bishop Hicks, who loved the CHC immensely, took on the challenge of leading our denomination after Bishop Charles Hanson's passing. He brought with him volumes of wisdom and experience to the CHC's highest office. His expertise enabled the CHC to continue its works worldwide and continue to prepare for our General Conference, which will take place in June of 2021. Bishop Hicks was an incredibly respected man, and his lifetime of service to the Kingdom of God and the CHC will forever be remembered. Continue to pray for Sister Cherryl, the entire Hicks family, and the Congregational Holiness Church in prayer. Wayne Hicks, 74 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. ... 615 White Sulphur Rd, Gainesville, GA 30501 Rev. Bobby Griffin, Rev. Ronald Wilson, Rev. Nick Dalton and Rev. Daren Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in the Mausoleum with Rev. John Belangia officiating. The family will receive friends at New Haven Congregational Holiness Church on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Bishop Hicks served four different offices of the General Executive Board of the Congregational Holiness Church; with the final being Bishop of the denomination.

Dear AP Family, Reminder: Sunday, December 20th --Christmas Nativity Reenactment-- Pastor Adam will read the story of the birth of Jesus as the children reenact the nativity story.... **Children arrive at 10:10 to dress in nativity costumes.** Meet in downstairs Sunday School room (next to restrooms). Adults will have Sunday School as normal. After the 11 AM Service (Christmas Nativity Reenactment), join us for Cookies & Cocoa with Santa! Bring your cameras to take pics with Santa at the photo booth!!! Also, there will NOT be a Wednesday service on December 23rd. Enjoy this time with your friends and family. This Wednesday, December 2nd @ 7 PM the Wednesday AP Kids Ministry will be watching the movie THE STAR which is a retelling of the birth of Jesus told through the eyes of the nativity animals. This is a great and fun way to explain the birth of our Savior to children. ... There will be food, movie, and Christmas Crafts! So don't let your kids miss out on this fun time! I pray each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 2020 has most definitely been an interesting year, but there is a lot I am thankful for. During times like these, it becomes increasingly important to count your blessings and remember just how good God has been to us. As Robert Louis Stevenson once said, Keep your eyes open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life." Personally, I truly am thankful for each and every one of you as part ...of the AP Family. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful the Lord has seen us through this pandemic and better days are ahead. I am thankful that He is for us and not against us. I am thankful for the many blessings we've received and the ones that are yet to come. I am thankful because He is a good, good Father and He knows my every need.
