"For the joy set before Him, Jesus endured the cross and despised (spat upon) the shame" (Hebrews 12:2) Shame is toxic. It attacks at the very core of who we are ( at the "I Am" level). It breeds hiding and fear and a shattered sense of self. No wonder Jesus spat upon it. His victory over shame on the cross has absolutely freed us. As His children we no longer have permission to look at ourselves except through the cleansing blood of the Lamb!!!! He overcame shame FOR us. Hallelujah!!

We are either God conscious or problem conscious. That choice makes all the difference.

"Do not fear for you will not be put to shame" - Isaiah 54:4. What a promise! Fear always has to do with shame. But shame has been overcome in Christ. Shout for joy!! His love has covered our shame and fear has been nailed to the tree!
