Today we must brag a little about the talent behind all our beautifully decorated cupcakes, pies, cake, and cookies. Today we would like to introduce you to our fabulous Pastry Chef, Sarah Whited. Sarah was born and raised in Hinesville, GA. She recently moved back to Hinesville to be closer to her family and we are extremely glad she did. She is a certified Pastry Chef and graduate of Johnson & Wales University. She has her A.S. in Baking & Pastry Arts as well as Food Servi...ce Management. Our Executive Chef Deb taught her in high school in culinary Arts which inspired her to pursue her passion in Culinary Arts with a focus on Pastry Arts. Sarah has opened her very own home bakery, The Vanilla Bean where she customizes any occasion cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and pastries. Our team has been so spoiled by her delicious treats. She is an extremely gifted and creative Chef, and we are blessed to have such an amazing talented pastry chef to spoil our residents. She is most proud of completing college as a single mom with a newborn and opening her home bakery. Sarah adores her son John Luke, and he loves being her cupcake and cookie taste tester haha. We are always excited to see what yummy creations Sarah bakes for our staff and we are 100% sure our residents are going to love being spoiled with sweet treats baked fresh from our kitchen. This talented pastry chef is such a blessing, and we are thankful she is a part of our At Home Senior Living of Jesup family. We would like to introduce you to our Executive Chef, Debra Stevens. Chef Deb has been such a remarkable addition to our team. We have all been spoiled by her scrumptious meals and can’t wait for our residents to taste her made from scratch home cooking prepared in house. Chef has many certifications such as her National Teacher Certification, BED in Home Economics from GSU. She’s also a licensed Dietitian, has her MSEd in School Nutrition/Dietary and she has her Associates i...n Culinary Arts from the Art Institute, and she is a Certified Chef. Her culinary expertise & skills have gone beyond our expectations and we have been blessed with delectable food. She is most excited about cooking for our residents to ensure they receive delicious and nutritious food daily. In her spare time, Chef Deb likes to prepare food for those in need and to prepare meals for her congregation at Jesup First United Methodist Church. She also dedicates her time serving as Mom Advisor for the Martha H. Hardison International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She is most proud of her 2 wonderful daughters and her grandchildren.
