KOSHER ALERTS: The AKC Quick Shopping List is available at Kroger and Publix in the Kosher and Passover sections. The list is also available at the AKC office, at Beth Jacob, and will soon be available on the AKC website.... The AKC will be doing a special Passover production of Kroger Brand Orange Juice and Dairy Products. Kroger Brand Orange Juice without Calcium, bearing plant #13-250 and the letters AKC-P on the inkjet of the container is Kosher for Passover. Kroger Brand unflavored milk (Homogenized (whole) milk, 2%, 1%, Skim milk, Half & Half) bearing plant #13- 250 and the letters AKC-P on the inkjet of the container are Kosher for Passover. The Kosher Institute of America offers a variety of online kosher courses. The Kosher Empowered! Course is designed for the home kitchen environment and tuition is usually $96. This course is being offered for free as a public service for those home-bound due to the Corona Virus. Brown Rice has recently been found to have infestation issues, primarily on the East Coast. However, Carolina Brand brown rice has been found to have infestation issues even in the Midwest. Consumers are advised not to use Carolina brand brown rice without a thorough checking. (CRC) As a community service the AKC is selling Thrip Cloths for infestation checking. Five dollars per cloth. Please contact the AKC before coming to pick up the Thrip Cloths to ensure they are available. Kroger Sweet & Mesquite BBQ Potato Chips 17 OZ. The OU certifies Kroger Sweet & Mesquite BBQ chips as an OU pareve product. Some Sweet & Mesquite BBQ 17 oz. bags were mistakenly used for Cheddar & Sour Cream Chips, an OUD dairy product. The mislabeled product was recalled. New Coca-Cola Energy drinks in 12 oz. cans, in Regular, Zero Sugar, Cherry, and Zero Sugar Cherry varieties, are OU certified and bear the OU symbol engraved into the top lid of the can. Pepsi-Cola 1893 Original Cola and Pepsi-Cola 1893 Ginger Cola (available on Amazon and eBay), and Pepsi Berry, Pepsi Lime, and Pepsi Mango sodas, all in 12 oz. cans, are Kosher. (They do not require a Kashrus symbol.)
