On Saturday, we teamed up with Germany and Real Madrid to compete in ATL Nations Cup for Soccer in the Streets. Our Team USA raised $1,717 and the event raised $23,954 for the organization. Thank you to everyone who donated to our team!

Email [email protected] ABOUT SOCCER IN THE STREETS Soccer in the Streets normally provides thousands of Atlanta’s underserved youth access to free programming that fosters leadership skills to help build equitable, healthy communities. But now, these communities are facing incredible challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic hits marginalized communities the hardest, compounding an already challenging circumstance for our kids and their parents. And at the same time, they are dealing with trauma caused by the tragic killings which have given rise to a renewed focus on social equity. Although our traditional, on-site programming and team gatherings are suspended, we quickly found ways to continue making a meaningful difference. Taking into account feedback from parents and community leaders, we launched four important projects: At Home Skills: Connect coaches with players for virtual at-home skills and homework support. Slices and Strikes: Free hot meals and soccer balls to help kids stay active & positive at home. Food Corps: Deliver a week’s supply of free groceries to low income neighborhoods in need. Racial Justice Forums: A platform for youth and parents to process confusion, anger and grief while supporting each other with messages of hope and unity.
