HSM Announces the purchase of Atlanta Attachment Company and Subsidiaries. ----- Hickory, North Carolina, December 2, 2016 -... HSM, a global manufacturer of integrated solutions and highly engineered products components to the furniture, bedding, and transportation industries based here, has announced the purchase of Atlanta Attachment Company and Subsidiaries. Headquartered in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Atlanta Attachment Company (AAC) is a leading global supplier of heavy duty sewing machinery, packaging equipment and automation processes for the bedding, home furnishings, apparel and automotive industries. Founded in 1969, AAC is an innovator of custom made automated workstations, folders, hemmers, binders and other labor saving devices, and is today the industry leader in developing sewing automation for mattress production and other emerging markets. Elvin Price, Founder and Chairman of Atlanta Attachment Company, added, "Our relationship with HSM has grown for many years and this transaction will enable AAC to further support our exist ing customers and offer unique technologies on a broader scale in new and evolving industries." In September 2016, HSM announced Mark S. Jones as its President and CEO, presiding over the company's three operating divisions: Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, HSM Transportation Solutions & Specialty Manufacturing, and HSM Diversified Solutions. Atlanta Attachment Company will become HSM's fourth operating division and maintain its Georgia facility. Hank Little, President of Atlanta Attachment who will remain with the business, said, "I am excited about this transaction which will enhance our ability to support our customers’ continuously growing and expanding businesses."
