Pilots! We need to rally around the AMA efforts to push back on more FAA restrictions on model flying... AMA members: We need your help. The Federal Aviation Administration is considering a new policy that would limit all recreational model aircraft operations to 400ft in controlled airspace with no exceptions. If implemented, this policy would end many of our longstanding, safe operations. Send a letter to Congress TODAY and ask them to contact the FAA on this critical issue. modelaircraft.org/higher-flight

Atlanta RC Members: Note that a TV shoot will take place at the Atlanta RC field 27 AUG through 5 OCT. During this time fixed wing and heli flying are allowed during daylight hours, but only when the TV crew is NOT onsite. ... The production company may hire a security guard for the site once they have assets located there. Onsite security will be provided with a club membership list and only current members of the Atlanta RC club will be allowed entry. Common sense, respect, safety, and courtesy should be observed at all times. The TV crew always takes precedence.
