Trinity Anglican Church 07.11.2020

During the weeks leading up to Advent this year, Trinity Westside will be looking together at the person, work and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells us in John's Gospel that it is the work of the Spirit to lead and guide through times of uncertainty, and to empower us with what we need to be the church in difficult seasons. Join us the next four weeks by creating space to pray and seek the Lord together Come, Holy Spirit! We will also be creating space to gather in person at Trinity Westside on Sunday mornings for special outdoor services on the 8th, 15th, and 22nd. You can find out more about these services and register now at the link in our profile. Space is limited so sign up now!

Lonelinessthe sense of being excluded, disconnected, or unseenis not a rare experience. A pre-COVID 2020 study by Cigna showed that 61% of Americans identify as feeling lonely, and the prolonged pandemic reality has no doubt increased that percentage. On Sunday, November 8 from 2-3pm, we will be hosting an online Wellness Workshop on Loneliness & Connection. This workshop is for anyone, who has experienced or knows someone who has experienced loneliness and a longing for deeper connectionespecially in the landscape of COVID-19. Learn more about what to expect and register now at the link in our profile.

Join us in-person on Sunday, November 1st, for a special night of worship at Trinity Westside! We are going to gather in our lower parking lot together as a church. Our own Amy Winkle and Ginny Seibel were ordained as priests today by our Bishop TJ Johnston! We’re so thankful for these women and how they serve our Trinity community so well.

This week, two of our Eastside pastors, Matthew Browne and Ginny Seibel, sat down to lead a political Q&A where they engaged questions sent in by our Eastside parishioners on what it means to be faithfully engaged as citizens of God’s kingdom in our current political climate. Head to the Eastside Parish website (link in bio) to watch this Q&A.

In our Westside service on Sunday, we shared a short interview with a few members of our Race, Diversity, and Inclusion Council. This group of people have been meeting every couple of weeks to advance the work of racial reconciliation in our church. We’re so thankful for their time and guidance in this important work!

We're sure going to miss him. After 14 years, Matt Yoder, an irreplaceable part of Trinity's leadership, has finished his last week on our staff and is now stepping into a new chapter in the business world. Please join us in thanking him for his years of faithful service to our church, and by praying for he and Margo and their family. We love you, Yoder!
