As a guest to a party, wedding, or dinner, one should not be in such a hurry to eat, drink, and go home. The host or hostess has spent time, effort, and money on the event. The guest needs to allot a time frame for the event.. For example, a fall bride and family spent $$$ on a wedding venue, flowers, food, music, etc...for the guests to enjoy fun and fellowship. The bride had planned the agenda with a social hour, food, dancing, and bridal party send off. The guests were so impatient. To me as a vendor, I feel if you are not there to celebrate the couple with all the festivities; maybe, you should reconsider the invitation. On another note, you should not expect to drink the bar dry either....but you should also know when it is time to go home without being escorted by a taxi.
