Congratulations to Dr. ChongWoo Park for winning two Hull College of Business faculty awards for the 2020-2021 academic year. Dr. Park won the Research Award and the High Impact Award. The Research Award acknowledges faculty whose scholarship has greatly influenced the entire academic community, while the High Impact Award acknowledges the impact that such effort had on students, the business community, and/or academia. Dr. Park is an associate professor of Management Information Systems.

Winners of the 2021 Hull Case Competition received their awards this week. First place went to Makayla Donahue and Madison Osborn. Second place was Ana Faria and Ricard Rubio. The third place team was Guanyu Li and Skyler McGregor. More news on the competition can be seen at hullnews.augusta.edu.

The landscaping and grounds team has been busy over the past several weeks sprucing up the Summerville campus in preparation for spring. Seasonal flowers and bulbs are popping up everywhere, creating a colorful environment around Allgood Hall.

Congratulations to seniors Makayla Donohue and Madison Osborn for winning the 2021 Hull Case Competition. The team, known as Team M&M, will split a $3,000 prize. Competitors were required to write a memo, record a presentation and answer questions from judges on a solution to problems within a fictitious medical device company. A reminder that the first Business Showcase of the spring semester features the FBI on Thursday, February 11 from 4 to 5 p.m. The FBI is an intelligence-driven and threat-focused national security organization with both intelligence and law enforcement responsibilities. Panelists will include the following specialties: forensic accounting, cyber, special agent, recruitment, community outreach and operational support.... The Center for Instructional Innovation’s annual Innovation Competition will take place January through April. The first virtual information session will be Thursday, Jan. 28, from 3 4 p.m. The competition aims to provide innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial solutions for a significant challenge that affects our communities. ... Next week's virtual Business Showcase featuring Fastenal has been cancelled.

For the fall semester, 171 Hull students earned a spot on the dean’s list by getting a 3.5 GPA or higher. Some of them celebrated Thursday with Dean Rick Franza in a socially distanced way. Even the dean had some fun with the selfie wall.
