May the 4th be with you! One of my favorite births (even though it happened so fast that I was still on the way to Atlanta when he arrived!) was five years ago, today. Shosh had messaged me that she was about to make pancakes and she sent me a screen shot of her ctx timing app. Ummm... I'm on my way, ma'am! But the look on her husband's face when he got to put that little light saber in baby Noam's hand for his first photos made it all worth the drive. :) Happy Birthday, Noam!!

I know these are some scary and challenging times. We're doing all we can to offer help and support to pregnant and laboring moms. If you are interested in virtual doula services, please contact me. I will find you the help you need. And any virtual doula fees paid can be transferred to in person doula fees if the situation with COVID-19 changes before your date of delivery. Meanwhile... I'm going to post some links in the comments to courses that you can take online to get some good information about becoming a new parent. It's a small investment to make to help you through these stressful times. For now... I'll just think about sweet studio naps with lovely doula babies. <3

Repeat clients are family. Three-peats... are on their way to becoming doulas. This birth was so amazingly special not only because of the mama (Britt is doing her doula training later this month), but also because it gave me the opportunity to tag team with Emily Ward at Emily E Photography who went to be with her while I finished up my last two classes that morning. None of us expected the birth to go THAT fast!! Pay attention to the clocks (and the TV) in this video to see exactly how fast it was. This was the birth women always dream of having!! And of course... stick around to the end to hear daddy sing his first song to her!
