We had a great time at the Bacon Park Parent/Child Tournament a couple of weeks ago! In the U10 division, Stuart and Jack Edwards claimed first prize with a 9-hole score of 43, and the in the U14 age group Ben and Brett O'Rand claimed the top spot with a a 39! Everybody had a great time!

Bacon Park believes we can never say thank you enough to the true heroes in our community who protect and serve. We've started a "Leave a...." program to benefit police, firefighters, members of the military, health care workers and teachers. Join the 1926 Blitz! In 1926, the Donald Ross course we love was opened for play! In 2013 O.C. Welch Golf Properties restored the golf course to its original design and renovated the nine holes built in 1980 to be "The Legends 9 at Bacon Park". As we approach the Centennial of "The Donald Ross Course" in a few years, we will be holding numerous events to recognize what Bacon Park Golf Course has become. In 2021, we are introducing the The 1926 Blitz. It will be a 2-person ne...t Best Ball format with a $30 entry fee. At the end of an 8-match regular season, we will host playoffs for the top 4 teams teams. Dates: Match 1 - January 9 Match 2 - January 16 Match 3 - January 23 Match 4 - January 30 Match 5 - February 6 Match 6 - February 13 Match 7 - February 20 Match 8 - February 27 Playoff - March 13 Playoff - March 20 You can't win if you don't play! The Bacon Park Junior Golfer of the Week is Caroline Burroughs! Caroline is a regular participant in the Bacon Park Junior After School Program. During these sessions, head professional Gordon and former First Tee of Savannah director Joe Mathews work with her in all phases of the game. Caroline also takes advantage of other organized opportunities in the Savannah area such as PGA Junior Golf League and US Kids Golf. Her outstanding play on the US Kids Golf Savannah Tour earned her an invitation to the US Kids Golf World Championship played in Pinehurst, N.C. earlier this year. We look forward to seeing her name at the top of the scoreboard for many years to come!
