Barnetts Creek Volunteer Fire Department responding with Thomas County Fire Rescues Station 16 and Station 8 to a large brush fire at Academy Drive. This fire consumed approximately 8-10 acres of vegetation but was extinguished before causing any major structural damage. Thanks to all responding units and quick action, this fire was contained with minimal loss to property.
