This month we're celebrating 10 years in the 1869 Courthouse. In December 2010, a ribbon cutting occurred and since then so have family activities, field trips, white glove events, group tours, book signings, and more. We have been visited by locals as well as guests from as far away as Europe. We greatly appreciate our members, supporters, community partners, and visitors. The past 10 years have been great! We're excited to see what the next 10 years bring! #BartowHistoryMuseum, #Cartersville, #BartowCounty, #1869courthouse

It's #TriviaTuesday, so lets have some fun. What is this mystery object? Is it... A. An early time clock B. A meter from a mill production line C. A code breaking device D. An adding machine... Don't peek below unless you want to read the answer. It is an electric Monroe 9-column adding machine made in Orange, New Jersey. It dates to approximately the 1930s. While the attached video appears to show a slightly different model, it will give you an idea about how it worked. The video is from System Source Computer Museum. http://ow.ly/DIfg50CEWp6
