Summer Spotlight! BBP is proud to introduce Special Education Teacher/Tutor - Anne Conley! Anne graduated from The University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education. She went on and completed a Master of Elementary Education from Georgetown College. Anne has been teaching in the Fulton County School System since 2004 as a special education teacher in first through fifth grades. Anne has been trained in the advanced continuum Orton...-Gillingham Multisensory approach to learning. Throughout Anne’s career, she has taught in various classroom settings, including the co-taught as well as the resource classroom. Anne has been tutoring students based on their educational needs for years. Anne has experience working with students by supporting their current curriculum needs, as well as, assisting students to help fill in the gaps of skills which have not been retained. On the other hand, Anne has experience working with advanced students who need assistance with the challenge of the enrichment curriculum. Anne’s summer tutoring approach usually begins with a spiral review of skills that were taught in the previous school year. She then likes to help the students get a jump start by teaching them some of the skills that will be taught at the beginning of the new school year. In her spare time, Anne loves walking, yoga, cooking, and spending time with her grandson. We are excited to have Anne as part of our BBP Family!
