Beacon Dance 27.12.2020

This week in Movement and Meditation, we return our focus to the Organs System, and specifically the Liver. The liver is our organ of power and stability, of endurance, detoxification, dealing with 'heavy' emotions that require complex processing, anger, awareness and action filtered through qualities of deep rootedness. Join us at 11 AM EST Monday (today) and Friday on our YouTube Channel (link below) or on Zoom on Wednesday at 11 AM for our story circle (email me at [email protected] to register for the Zoom meeting).

Beacon Dance will be participating in 'Giving Tuesday', this coming Tuesday, December 1st, for the first time. We will be raising funds to help us with our year long performance project 'Mapping 2020-2021', which debuted with the first chapter, "What would you want to Reset", on November 6, 7, and 8, 2020, in Freedom Park in Atlanta, GA. Please consider making a contribution on Tuesday, and Facebook will match your gift! https://www.facebook.com/donate/831721830980039/831721854313370/

In today's session we will reconnect with the upper extremities and then into the upper spine. Supported in part by the Fulton County Arts Council.

In today's session we will spend time both seated and standing, as you are willing and able, working from the extremities towards the center of the body.
