Celebrating the Life of Mrs. King

Jeanette Kirk King, age 79, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 3, 2020 under the care of Kindred Hospice. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 6, in Bernstein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, in Faith Pentecostal Church with the Reverend Billy Fowler and Reverend Christopher Reeves officiating. Mrs. King will lie in state at the church from 11:30 AM until the funeral hour.... Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kindred Hospice and to Mrs. King’s caregivers, Avery Whiddon, Corine Hering and Jamie Pinckard for their loving care during her illness. Virginia Metcalfe Faulkner passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 3, at 3:00 p.m., in Hillcrest (Bowman City) Cemetery, Bowman, Elbert County, Georgia, located 0.5 miles southeast of Bowman. David K. Elster, 64, formerly of Athens, passed away March 20, 2020. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of David’s life for his extended family and friends will be held at a later date.... Dr. David Bruce Doc Narrie, of Athens, GA, passed away of congestive heart failure on October 24, 2020. No service will be held at this time, but gifts in his memory may be made to the Dr. David Narrie Student Success Endowment at Tennessee Technological University, Box 1915, Cookeville, TN 38505, or to the American Heart Association.

Robert Bob Newton White, 82, of Jefferson, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 23 at Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens, Ga., with Rev. Crist Camden, Rev. Brian James, and Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Diane Dixon Studdard, 80, of Watkinsville, Ga., passed away October 21, 2020 surrounded by her family. Diane asked for a private service at her home.

Eric Lee Kenney, 43, of Bishop, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020. A celebration of Eric’s life will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Selleck officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm, prior to the service.... Lucy Cline Huie, a longtime resident of Clayton County, died peacefully on September 27 at home in Athens. She was age 99. A memorial service will be scheduled in late October at the Jonesboro Cemetery.
